Arthur Stam (Amsterdam 1982)
Arthur Stam is a Dutch composer and musician who is active in several genres. Starting as a drummer in 1991 he laid the foundation for the rhythms and grooves which would eventually appear in his own compositions. As a part of a melodic Thrash/Death metal band (Disquiet, 2000-present) he developed his melodic and writing skills by co-producing the latest three albums.
In 2011 Arthur started writing instrumental (hiphop) tracks under the name ‘Joey de la Fuente’. After 2 albums and a short break he focused from 2017 on (dark) lo-fi beats. This resulted in millions of Spotify streams, especially for the track ‘Self and Other’.
With the previous album (‘Endlessness’) Arthur added more cinematic and emotional elements in the music. With a shifting interest towards sync music he started writing his first sync album, ‘Trail of Tears‘, which contains ten songs with a highly dark, cold and melancholic vibe to them.
